We are a live band. You came here to ask about music for your event, and the only reason we
collect anything is to answer you well. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you
can ask us to do about it.

## Who we are
Uptown Drive and Texas Live Band Karaoke are operated by Greg Williams Entertainment, LLC, based

## What we collect
### When you send us an inquiry
Our contact form asks for your first and last name, email address, phone number, event type,
event date, event location, how you heard about us, and whatever you'd like to tell us about your
event. You can also tell us your budget, which is optional.
We ask for these because we cannot check a date or price a band without them.
### When you view a proposal we send you
If we send you a personalized proposal page, that page records how it is used: when it was
opened, how long it was open, how far down it was read, which band lineup was clicked, whether a
video was played, and which buttons were pressed.
It also stores a random identifier in your browser so that repeat visits from the same browser
are recognized as the same visitor. That identifier is a random string. It is not your name, and
it is not linked to anything outside your conversation with us.
**Why we do this, plainly:** it tells us whether you have seen the quote and what you are
interested in, so we can follow up usefully rather than guessing. If you forward the proposal to
a partner, a planner or your parents, we will see that more than one person opened it. We will
not see who they are.
### Automatically, when you visit the site
Our website runs on Wix, which collects standard technical information such as IP address,
browser type, device type, and which pages were visited.
We also use two third-party tools on this website:
- **Google Analytics**, which tells us how many people visit, which pages they read, and how they
found us. It sets cookies and reports to Google.
- **The Meta Pixel**, from the company that runs Facebook and Instagram. It records which pages
you viewed on our site and reports that to Meta. We use it to measure whether our advertising
works and to show ads to people who have visited us.
**Be aware of what the second one means.** The Meta Pixel sends information about your visit to
Meta, and Meta may connect it to your Facebook or Instagram account if you have one. That is
Meta's doing, governed by Meta's policies, not ours, and we do not receive your account details
back. We are telling you because it is happening, not because we are asked to.
If you would rather not be tracked this way:
- Google Analytics offers a browser opt-out add-on at
**tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout**
- Meta's ad settings are at **facebook.com/adpreferences**
- Most browsers have a tracker-blocking setting, and any common ad blocker stops both

## What we do with it
- Reply to your inquiry and check whether your date is available
- Prepare a quote and a proposal for your event
- Follow up about that proposal, and keep a record of our conversation
- Prepare a contract and invoice if you decide to book us
- Understand which parts of our proposals are useful, so we can improve them
**We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing email to people who inquired and
did not book.**
One honest exception to be clear about: the Meta Pixel on our website does send browsing
information to Meta, an advertising company, as described above. That applies to people browsing
the public site. **Nothing you tell us in an inquiry, and nothing on a proposal page we send you,
is passed to Meta, Google Analytics, or any advertiser.** Your name, email, phone, event details
and budget stay between you and us.

## Who else touches it
We use a small number of service providers to run the business. They process your information on
our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:

If we are ever legally required to disclose information, we will comply with the law.

## How long we keep it
Event bookings are often planned twelve to eighteen months ahead, and people come back to us
years later, so we keep inquiry records for **three years** from your last contact with us.
Records connected to an event we actually performed are kept longer, because they are business
and tax records.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner. See below.

## What you can ask us to do
Email **gregwilliams010@gmail.com** and ask us to:
- **Tell you what we have.** We will send you what is on your record.
- **Correct it.** If something is wrong, we will fix it.
- **Delete it.** We will delete your inquiry and any proposal made for you. If you have booked
with us, we may need to keep records tied to the contract and to our taxes, and we will tell
you exactly what is being kept and why.
- **Stop contacting you.** Say the word and we stop. You do not need a reason.
We will respond within 30 days. There is no charge.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the Texas Data
Privacy and Security Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act, or the GDPR. We will honor those
requests regardless of where you live, because the list above is what we would want ourselves.

## Cookies and browser storage
Our website uses three kinds of cookie:
- **Necessary**, set by Wix so the site works at all
- **Analytics**, set by Google Analytics so we can count visits
- **Advertising**, set by the Meta Pixel so we can measure our ads
Proposal pages are different. A proposal page stores one random identifier in your browser, as
described above, and nothing else. **There is no Meta Pixel and no Google Analytics on a proposal
page.** Nothing about your quote, your event, or your budget is used for advertising, ever.
Clearing your browser data removes the identifier.

## Children
Our services are for adults planning events. This site is not directed at children under 13 and
we do not knowingly collect their information.

## Security
Inquiry and proposal records are stored in a database that is locked to administrator access
only. Proposal pages use unguessable web addresses rather than sequential numbers, so a proposal
cannot be found by guessing. No system is perfectly secure, but we do not treat your details
casually.

## Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes affecting people
with an active inquiry will be sent by email.
