Travel built into one proposal
Houston is about two and a half hours from Austin, and travel is part of every proposal. Load-in, soundcheck and load-out are planned around your run of show and the venue’s rules. It is the same corporate event band that plays galas, awards shows and holiday parties nationwide.

Yes, and it's one of our most requested moments. Greg plays live saxophone over the DJ for your grand entrance, cocktail hour or a high-energy set between the band's dance sets, so the energy never drops
What kind of music does the band play?
High-energy dance music across the decades, from Motown and funk to pop, hip hop and today's hits, plus the classics your grandparents will dance to. Your worksheet lets us tailor every set to your crowd
How many musicians are in Uptown Drive?
Our core band is six musicians with saxophone: drums, bass, guitar and keys, Greg on sax and guitar, and two lead vocalists. Add trumpet for a seven-piece or trumpet and trombone for the full eight-piece band
What is included with every wedding?
Live dance sets, DJ music between sets, an emcee, an audio engineer, a professional sound system and stage lighting

Yes. Our audio engineer, professional sound system and stage lighting come with every wedding, and we coordinate power and load-in with your venue ahead of time
Can the band work within our venue's sound limits and curfew?
Yes. Many Austin and Hill Country venues set volume limits and outdoor curfews. Our audio engineer keeps the mix within your venue's rules and we plan the timeline around any hard stop
How much space and power does the band need?
A stage is recommended but not required, and we don't bring one. If you're adding a stage, we ask for 16 by 20 feet, and our rider covers power and the technical details
Are you insured, and can you provide a certificate of insurance?
Yes. We carry a $2M general aggregate liability policy and can add your venue as an additional insured
What does a corporate event band include? Every booking includes the live band, an emcee, professional sound, stage lighting, an audio engineer and DJ music between sets, all coordinated with your run of show. How big is the band? A six, seven or eight-piece band with two lead vocalists and horns, led by bandleader and emcee Greg Williams. As a Certified Original Lineup, the same core musicians play every event. Can the band play during dinner and the program? Yes. Dinner sets stay at conversation volume, we support speakers and awards with walk-up music, then open the dance floor the moment the program ends. Can you add an interactive element to the night? Yes. Our interactive show blends live dance sets with live band karaoke, so guests can sing lead with the band between sets. It is a favorite for holiday parties and employee appreciation events.
